But the excitement doesn't stop there. The NYC Trivia League adds an additional layer of excitement with its bonus point system. Every day the top 25 teams score additional points. The most successful teams getting five bonus points and the following 15 gaining 3. In the course of the week, the top 50 teams also earn bonus points The top 25 teams receiving 10 points and the following 25 receiving five.
To calculate your overall league score, we start with your initial score and adjust it to a 100-point scale considering the bonus points of 15 which are awarded each week. So, for example, a starting score of fifty points is multiplied by 85, then the bonus points are added in order to be a complete 100.
