But the excitement doesn't end there. This year's NYC Trivia League adds an additional layer of excitement with its bonus points system. Each day the top teams earn extra points. The top 10 getting 5 bonus points and the subsequent 15 receiving three. Over the week, the top 50 teams also earn bonus points and the top 25 earning 10 and the next 25 receiving 5.
For the calculation of your overall score in the league, we first take your score from the beginning and then adjust it according to a scale of 100 points, taking into account the bonus points of 15 given each week. A perfect basic score, 50 is multiplied with 85, and the bonus points are tacked on to reach a full 100.
