This is how it works When you play the normal trivia night, it's five rounds with 10 questions each. Each correct answer will earn your team one point, resulting in a potential 50 points if you play an unbeatable game.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. It's not just about winning. NYC Trivia League adds an additional element of competition by way of the bonus points system. Every day the top 25 teams receive extra points. The highest 10 teams earning bonus points and the next 15 gaining 3. Over the week, the top 50 teams also receive bonus points, with the top 25 earning 10 and the next 25 receiving five.
To calculate your overall league score, we take the base score and change it to a 100-point score, in consideration of the bonus points 15 to be earned each week. A perfect base score of 50 points is multiplied by the number 85, and the bonus points are added up to reach a full 100.
