The trivia points system of The Winslow is designed to make every question and every round matter. The way it works is in a typical trivia event, it's five rounds, each with 10 questions each. Each correct answer will earn your team one point, resulting in a potential 50 points for a flawless game.
The excitement doesn't just stop there. The NYC Trivia League adds an added layer of fun with its bonus point system. Each day, the top 25 teams earn additional points. The top 10 teams earning five bonus points, while the other 15 gaining 3. In the course of the week, the top 50 teams also get bonus points which are awarded to the top 25 teams, with the best 25 receiving 10 points and the following 25 getting 5.
For the calculation of your overall league score, we take the base score and change it by 100 points, in consideration of the bonus points 15 which are awarded each week. So, for example, a starting score of fifty is multiplied by the number 85, and then bonus points are tacked on to achieve a 100.
