The way it works is during a typical trivia night, there are five rounds of ten questions each. Each correct answer gives your team one point, which is a total of 50 points if you play an exemplary game.
But the excitement doesn't end there. There's more. NYC Trivia League adds an additional level of challenge with its bonus point system. Every day, the top 25 teams score additional points, with the top 10 teams earning 5 bonus points, and the following 15 receiving three. Throughout the week, the top 50 teams also receive bonus points, with the top 25 getting 10 and the next 25 getting 5.
In order to calculate your overall league score, we use your baseline score and adjust it to a 100-point scale in consideration of the bonus points 15 offered each week. For example, a flawless baseline score of 50 is multiplied by 85, and then bonus points are added up to be a complete 100.
