The system of points for trivia at The Winslow is designed to make each and every round matter. Here's how it works For a typical trivia evening, the game is played over five hours with 10 questions for each. Each correct answer gives your team a point, resulting in 50 points for an unbeatable game.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. There's more. NYC Trivia League adds an additional element of competition by way of its bonus points system. Each day the top 25 teams score additional points, with teams in the most successful teams getting five bonus points and the following 15 receiving three. Throughout the week, the most successful teams also earn bonus points with the top 25 receiving 10 points and the following 25 receiving 5.
For the calculation of your overall scoring in leagues, we begin by taking your score from the beginning and then adjust it to a 100-point scale considering the bonus points of 15 to be earned each week. In this case, a base score of 50 points is multiplied by 85, then bonus points are added up to increase the score to 100.
The point system provides an enjoyable competitive edge to our trivia evenings. It rewards more than just knowledge but also consistency in thinking strategically. Therefore, get your team together and come to The Winslow for a night filled with fun, where every point can lead to victory!
