Every correct answer earns your team one point, which is a total of 50 points if you play an unbeatable game.
The fun doesn't stop there. This year's NYC Trivia League adds an additional level of challenge with its bonus points system. Each day the top 25 teams score additional points, with teams in the top 10 teams earning five bonus points and the following 15 getting 3. In the course of the week, the top teams receive bonus points which are awarded to the top 25 teams, with the best 25 getting 10 and the next 25 receiving 5.
To calculate your total score in the league, we first take your base score and adjust it by 100 points, taking into account the bonus points of 15 that are available every week. For instance, a perfect starting score of fifty points is multiplied with 85, and the bonus points are tacked on to get to a full 100.
